What it means for you

If you were waiting for one shared inbox before leaving Outlook Classic, it may not be in your new Outlook yet.

What to do

Nothing to do yet. When it arrives and isn't on, turn it on under Settings > Mail > Folder pane.

The details

The rollout began in late September. Windows Latest says it also works with free accounts, with ads. Once it reaches you, you may need to turn it on yourself. Some Outlook Classic users will be moved to the new Outlook automatically in 2027, with the option to switch back.

Where and when: New Outlook for Windows, rolling out until late November 2026
