What it means for you

If your phone feels too small for editing Reels, you can now edit on a Mac for free.

What to do

Download Edits for Mac from Instagram's Edits page and sign in with your Instagram account.

The details

You can import your own LUTs and fonts, set keyboard shortcuts, use Instagram's licensed music, and get unlimited automatic captions in several languages. Editing the same project on Mac and phone isn't possible yet. Instagram says the desktop app gets weekly updates.
