Amazon stops Meta's Muse AI agent from buying on its site
Amazon has blocked Meta's Muse shopping agent from making purchases on Amazon, citing safety concerns, according to The Wall Street Journal. Walmart and Shopify have made deals with Meta to work with Muse instead.
What it means for you
If you use Muse to shop, it can't complete purchases on Amazon for now.
What to do
Nothing to do. To buy something on Amazon, order it yourself in the Amazon app or website.
The details
Meta launched Muse in September as a personal AI agent for shopping, travel bookings and budgets; Meta says more than 10 million people in the US and Canada set one up in the first month and a half. Amazon's CEO Andy Jassy said the company hopes to work with outside AI agents.
