Apple Fitness+ adds Gym Strength plans for weight training
Apple Fitness+ is testing Gym Strength, which builds four-week strength plans from your goals, schedule and equipment, and adapts each week to the reps and weight you log. It's in beta with iOS 27.3.
What it means for you
If you pay for Fitness+ and lift weights, you get a plan that changes with your progress.
What to do
It needs iOS 27.3, due in December; then open Fitness+ and look for Gym Strength.
The details
Workouts take about 20-30 or 45-60 minutes, with video demos from three angles. It has over 350 exercises for more than 30 kinds of equipment; dumbbells are the minimum. An Apple Watch can log reps and weight. It's included in the Fitness+ subscription.
