Xiaomi starts rolling out HyperOS 4 with Android 17
Xiaomi began rolling out the final version of HyperOS 4, based on Android 17, on 3 November, starting with the Xiaomi 17 and 17T series. Phones as old as 2022's Xiaomi 13T are on the list.
What it means for you
If you have a recent Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco phone, Android 17 is on its way.
What to do
Check Settings for a system update; if it isn't there, it will come in a later wave.
The details
The Xiaomi 15T series follows from mid-November and the MIX Flip in December. HyperOS 4 brings a new look, more lock screen options, new home screen organisation and better floating apps; Xiaomi says apps launch nearly 20% faster after about a day of use. Updates arrive in waves.
