O2 now blocks scam calls with AI for all UK customers
O2 has moved from flagging suspected scam calls to blocking them before the first ring, for all customers on compatible devices, at no extra cost. It expects to stop more than 3 million calls a week.
What it means for you
If you're on O2, fewer scam calls should reach your phone, with nothing to set up.
What to do
Nothing to switch on. Keep reporting scam numbers by text to 7726, as O2 asks.
The details
The AI-based blocking follows a trial earlier this autumn and is switched on automatically across O2's network.
